BroadFeed™ delivers content shared on Twitter in a clean, easy-to-read format. It’s a new kind of newspaper—filled exclusively with stories and pictures that matter to you—minus the inky fingers. Here’s how it works. You tell the app what sources to follow, either by signing in to your Twitter feed or browsing the built-in directory. Then BroadFeed pulls in and prioritizes the articles and pictures being shared. There’s no sifting through links, no cluttered pages. Just the stuff that matters to you in a format that’s easy on the eyes.
Proceeds from the sales of BroadFeed will be donated to charities, including the American Red Cross (www.redcross.org), which is driving disaster relief efforts to help those affected by the Japan Earthquake and Pacific Tsunami.
• View articles and images shared by the people and organizations you follow on Twitter.
• Not a Twitter user? BroadFeed's built-in directory has hundreds of lists to choose from—everything from books to business, sports to science.
• View content in the way that works for you. Choose from an Editorial View for quick browsing, an Image View for immersive viewing, a Clean Article View for distraction-free reading, and the original webpage view.
• Adjust the timeframe of your feed to see content over a longer or shorter period of time: 6 hours, 12 hours, 24 hours, 3 days, 1 week, and 2 weeks.
• Stay on top of news trends with the Zeitgeist View, showing the most popular stories shared over the previous 7 days.
• Hide content you’ve already viewed so you can focus on the new stuff.
• Save your favorite content to read again later.
• Share links to content with your Facebook network and Twitter followers.
[Known issue] Opening BroadFeed cuts off background music. An app update is coming very soon to fix it.
• BroadFeed is not a Twitter client. It is designed for reading the content shared on Twitter, not tweets. The minimum timeframe is set to 6 hours for proper content aggregation and prioritization. For up-to-the-minute updates, please use a Twitter client.
• The content prioritization algorithm is still being perfected. It will get better over time.
