It was in late December 2010 when Nokia released a small update to their Ovi Store client for Symbian S60 5th Edition. However, at the point the new version (1.08) was released for select markets only and now it’s available in all countries.
Don’t expect anything spectacular from this release — we’re talking about small performance and usability improvements — but you should update anyway. The reason is not just the good practice to have your software up to date all the time – there are also freebies including, waiting to anyone who grabs this version. Nokia is offering several cools apps for free, including Shazam Encore (which offers unlimited music recognition), Doodle Jump (super popular platform game), DJ Mix Tour Wallpapers, and The Flashlight + SOS (utility application).
The Ovi Store client v1.08 is available for a number of smartphones, including the Nokia 5230, 5530, X6, 5228, 5233, 5250, 5800i, 5800, C6-00, N97 and N97 mini.
