RadiationMapViwer is iPhone and iPad application software to indicate the real-time radiation level in the environment on map of domestic Japan.

The radiation and environment data that observed by the 66 points of domestic Japan by the Disaster Prevention and Nuclear Safety Network information of
“Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT)” and some informed data by the Municipality, will be indicated.

The distance from the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station will be indicated.

The normal average radiation level in Japan through a year is 1.5mSv.
When the total radiation level in year exceed the average of Japan, the observation point will be indicated by red.

Red - Exceed 1.5mSv/year
Green - Under 1.5mSv/year
Purple - Not measured (Under arrangement)

For each observation point, the following data will be indicated.

・Observation office
・Date (month/day/year hours : minutes)
・Rate of space dose (μSv/hour)
・Yearly radiation rate (μSv/year)
・Normally radiation rate (μSv/hour) - Ver.1.1 or later
・Wind Direction
・Wind Velocity (m/s)
・Precipitation (mm) - Ver.1.1 or later
・Distance from Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station (km)

The radiation leaves means radiation quantities.
1μGy/h = 1μSv/h will be applied.

Gy means total amount of the radiation energy absolved into the materials.
Sievert means the level for human effect.

The world average of natural radiation level in a year will be 2.4mSv.
International Commission on Radiological Protection (ICRP) recommend the limitation value of radiation as 1mSv/year except the value of natural and medical radiation.

The Nuclear Power Station in domestic Japan will be controlled for the public level as 0.05mSv that 1 to 20 of above limited level.

1mSV/h will be transformed by the following formula.
1mSV/h = 1000μSV/h

The indicated value is translated by the following formula.
1μSV/year = 1μSV/h × 24hours × 365days

The indicated data will have some time-delay to the newest data opened by the “Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT)”.
The address, Longitude and Latitude is the about point data by the observation office name.

The distance from the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station is also roughly data.
