Popular customer support solution provider Zendesk is “going Android,” allowing customer service representatives to answer questions even while on the go. Initially their mobile application was released for the iPhone (we haven’t talked about it, though), and new a slew of Android smartphone users are joining the wave, as well.

According to the company’s press release, mentioned iPhone app was downloaded for 10,000 times in the first week alone, and the idea is to repeat the success with its Android counterpart.

As for the app’s feature, it gives agents the same visibility into their company’s ticket activity as they would using Zendesk on a desktop or laptop. In other words, you can view, update, and create new support tickets from you mobile phone as well as configure ticket fields and add comments with the app.

Now it’s up to companies, Zendesk’s clients, to start using these mobile apps and eventually provide its customers with a better (and much faster) customer support. Yap, we encourage companies to take that route – customers we’ll love them for that. 😉
